There's nothing like Thanksgiving spent with good friends and family!
My dad is taking his after Dinner nap. Always a must. Notice how no pillow goes unwanted.
While he was out there, the kids were in his room watching, what else, Sponge Bob. I swear that show runs all day every day on this one channel. Hey, they were happy. If you notice, even though Jane stands up in the second picture, Jacob doesn't even move. Now that's true tv watching. Jane just loves hanging out with her cousins. Mikayla's chillin' on the floor.
Here's the turkey I made. I got the idea out of a parenting magazine. Each person wrote on a feather what they were thankful for and then poked it into the styrofoam ball wrapped in yarn turkey. It was neat to read them. My favorite was Jacob's, however. "I am thankful for pancakes." Truly it's gratitude for the simple things in life that give us a life full of joy.
Yesterday we trimmed the tree. The girls were so excited. We turned the lights on and Alice was mesmerized.
Daddy helping Jane put on ornaments. She was very happy that she was able to help. Kevin kept asking where she wanted to put the ornament and most of the time she would say, "Up high." The tree turned out great. It helps when it is pre-lit!

Sounds like it was a great Thanksgiving for your family. Putting up the Christmas tree is always lots of fun. We have been working on ours, and Mattie is loving every minute!
I'm so glad that you all could be together for Thanksgiving. Even if we can't be there it's nice to know you all have each other for fun family times! I want to know who was thankful for Joshua?! Such a cute idea and how fun that Jane got to help with the tree. I'm pretty sure Morgan would just try to figure out how to climb it or knock it over. Love the picture of Dad with the pillows...I'm the same way!
So happy that your thanksgiving was fun! I love the turkey idea with things your thankful for :)!
I just love your dad! I am totally stealing that styrofoam turkey idea! Love it! Your girls are so cute - I love the pjs from Beth!
