Maternity Shots

My cousin Lisa came to visit this past weekend and while she was in town she was nice enough to take some belly shots.  I wanted to have some skin shots.  Looking back, I should have kept my short sleeve shirt on.  I have some skinny arms, but it's all good!  We plan on taking some more before the baby comes.  My favorite shots are the ones with the girls and the black and white with the beads under the belly.  Thanks Mom and Dad for the scenery.  It's their yard.  And thank you Lisa for wanting to take the pictures!!!!

So that is my belly at 29 weeks.  I've gained about 16 pounds so far.  I'm feeling pretty good.  Just the normal aches and pains.  The baby is moving all around and I love it!

Hint of Fall...

The breeze lately has actually been cool (well, low humidity).  It is so nice outside as long as your in the shade!  Here are some fun pictures of the girls and Kevin enjoying the outdoors, with a few pictures inside too!

Alice let me French braid her hair.  Both girls had braids that day.  It was my lucky day.

While Kevin was in California our little Temple group went to the temple.  After a peaceful session in the temple, the girls and I headed to McDonald's.  It was pure chaos and I was not in the mood for it.  If you ask Jane about the playplace there she'll say, "You can lose your child in there!"  Such a drastic difference between the "world" and the temple.  I choose the temple!

Jane outgrew her 14'' bike and so we found a good deal on a 16" and Alice got the old one.  Alice doesn't pedal yet, but one day she'll learn.  For now, we pull her along.  Kevin is a genius.

Alice, Kevin, and Jane enjoying the nice breeze in the hammock out back.

Jane was sick last week and Alice is in nap transition, so this is how I found them one afternoon around 4pm.  Needless to say, neither of them went to bed before 10:30 that night.  Quiet afternoon, not so quiet evening!

I love this picture!  I walked by and noticed that Jane was reading a book to Alice.  It was too sweet.

Alice, the big girl.  I put her hair up in a ponytail to keep it from blowing in her face.  Too cute.

Ok, so still no belly shots of me.  They are coming.  My cousin Lisa was in town this weekend and she is a photographer, so she took some shots.  I'll post them as soon as I get them back.

Some updates...

In front of the bowling alley
Ok, so I've been horrible at blogging, so here are just a couple of pictures to highlight the rest of our summer.  They don't do justice to all the photos we have taken, but I'll post them one day.  Also, I will get a good belly shot of me at some point!  Anyway, so Kevin and I had a great anniversary.  He took me on 5 mini dates in one evening.  Also, each date started with a card and a gift: balloons, flowers, ring pops, a Willow Tree figurine, dancing to our wedding song, and I can't remember one of them (sorry Kevin).  First we went for a walk on the beach.  Our next date was bowling with the family.  My mom met us at the bowling alley with the girls.  Too fun!  #3 Dinner, #4 Frisbee at Wickham park, and #5 watching for sea turtles at the beach (we got to see 5 turtles laying their eggs.  amazing!).  The first 4 things are things we've enjoyed doing together since we met and the 5th date was something we'd never done together.  (I've seen turtles lay their eggs before, but Kevin never had).  It was a perfect evening.  Thank you Kevin for a wonderful anniversary and thank you Mom for watching the girls.

August 9th was Jane's 4th birthday.  We set that day as the day she would give up all her binkies.  We went to Toys R Us and she paid for the new Barbie with the binkies in her hand.  Horrible picture, but she looks away too quickly!
Proud of her purchase.  The first few nights were a bit rough, but now she doesn't even ask for her binky!

The next week brought the beginning of a new phase for our family  SCHOOL!  Jane loves it!

Getting ready for the first day of school
The whole ensemble
Since Jane despised swim lessons, we haven't taken any since last year.  I decided as soon as Jane was in school, Alice and I would start the Parent/Tot class again.  We've had a fun time!
Alice underwater (which she hates)
Crazy storm clouds, luckily no lightning and it passed over us

Well, sorry not too many photos, but I'm working on getting my house organized.  Currently it looks atrocious, but some days are better than others.  I did get my carpets cleaned and we have 2 new area rugs.  I'm feeling much better about the decorating.  I'm in a cutenen up my house phase.  Now I just need to get in a motivated phase!!!!
