Alice is 1 year old!

Alice is now 1! It is truly amazing how fast the time has flown. We had her 1 year check up today and she is doing great.

height 30 1/2 in 95%
weight 21 lbs 11 oz between 50 and 75%

Here are some pictures from the little party we threw with Gramma and the Jesters. Well first, on June 16th, which was Alice's actual birthday, Kevin put the girls to bed because I was at a Relief Society Pool party. He went and checked on Alice after she fell asleep and found her cuddled up with Mickey. So he took a picture. She had a long day!

The rest are the festivities from the party on June 20th

Jane and Ben in the pool. They are both independent swimmers, thanks to their floaties.

Kevin, Joshua, Jane, Ben, and Kim enjoying the refreshing water (Dad, the water looks great!)

May wonders never cease, yes that is actually Gramma in the pool. We laugh because even though the pool sits in my mom's backyard, she rarely goes in it. Nathan even commented last week when my mom donned her new suit, "Gramma, you're coming in? It's been 3 years since you've come swimming with us!" Yay!!!

After we were all done swimming, the party moved inside. Mikayla and Jane reading the 3 Little Pigs.

Alice wondering what the bright light is on her cake and not understanding what she needed to do with it. Kevin blew it out for her.

At first she stared at it. It looked good, but where and how to begin

She chose the one finger approach and pretty much stuck with that

Even offered me some toward the end

Then the squishing began. Her hands definitely got the messiest compared to her face and bib even.

Not too shabby

Present time, we went with diapers and recycled toys this year. Everyone loved them.

Alice enjoying Ben's old toy. I love the little squat position she's in.

Gramma relaxing

This is one of the nights I watched Morgan and Erin. Here are Jane and Morgan looking oh so cool!

Ormond Beach

This past week we spent Wed night through Saturday morning (June 3rd through 6th) at a time share in Ormond Beach. We had a blast. Thank you to the Smith family (Lisa Marie and Dan) for making this little vacation possible. We stayed at The Cove on Ormond Beach. It was right on the beach and had a great pool to play in. The water slide was awesome. Jane didn't think so, but Kevin and I enjoyed it. Alice wasn't too keen on it either. (Yes, Kevin took her down once. Some of the older folks at the pool thought she did a great job, didn't even cry. But her face had the look of utter terror and she came right to me, leaving Daddy to go down the slide on his own).
So here's a picture of Kevin, Jane, and Alice digging a hole at the beach.
The water was a little cold for me, especially on such a cloudy day
Jane just didn't want to cooperate

The big jacuzzi tub. Alice is getting her feet washed, while Jane is giving me her pouty face, good times.

The view from our 6th floor room. After the rains, a pretty double rainbow appeared in the sky.

My sister Kim and her family also enjoyed the vacation too. They were there on Tuesday and Wednesday by themselves and then they joined us Friday evening until Saturday afternoon. Their two oldest boys were at cub scout camp for the week, so Kim thought it would be nice for them to share in the fun, that's why they came back. It was a blast.

I'll be posting videos just as soon as I can download them
