First few pictures at home
Laying on the floor just looking around!
Leaving the Hospital
Daddy, Jane, and baby doll taking a walk in the halls. Jane loves to walk the baby by holding her by the hair and making her feet drag on the ground. The camera was a bit to slow to capture the dragging.
Here's the latest picture of the whole family on our way home. Yay!!!!

The details (minus a name)
Jill has been in labor since Saturday morning at about 9:00. However, the contractions did not seem too bad and were pretty far apart. Saturday night Jill had harder contractions but they were not consistent in their intensity, duration, or time between contractions. We had called the doctor earlier in the evening and he said to wait a few hours and see how it went. We made it through the night and in the morning the contractions were still the same as during the night. Jill called the doctor late Sunday morning. After the doctor heard Jill describe the details of the contractions he said it didn't sound like active labor. Jill was heartbroken. She had been so excited for something to finally be happening.
Immediately after the conversation with the doctor her contractions became less intense and less frequent. They were now only coming every hour or so. We lounged around the house, took a walk, and watched a lot of Aladdin, Peter Pan, and Little Mermaid to keep Jane entertained. That evening the contractions became more frequent and intense similar to the night before. About 11:30 Jill decided that we should start timing them again. They were still inconsistent in their duration and time between contractions but they were more intense than the previous night. At 12:30 Jill said that she didn't care if she got sent home from the hospital, she wanted to go anyway and just be examined to see how far along she was.
We made arrangements for watching Jane and headed to the hospital. We arrived in the parking lot about 1:20 am. As Jill got out of the car her water broke. At least we knew she wouldn't be sent home since her water broke. We went into the labor and delivery area. They weighed her and asked her to provide a urine sample. As she sat on the toliet she said, "I feel like I really need to push." The nurse quickly moved her to the bed to examine her and determine how dilated she was. The nurse quickly discovered that the baby was already crowning. The nurses quickly prepared for the delivery and after a couple of pushes the baby came out. Jill was so relieved. The nurse asked me to tell Jill if it was a boy or a girl. I looked at the baby quickly and said, "It's a boy." The nurse quickly corrected me. "It's a girl" Oops.
The doctor arrived about 10 minutes later.
Here are some pictures we have taken

Oh so serious. She is also strolling around the new cars her daddy bought for his new track, on the right of the picture. They are both having tons of fun with that.

SURPRISE!!!!
And he brought gifts!!!
So I was having my normal chat with Kevin on the phone as he was driving home from work last night. It was about 8pm when he called and said he was on his way home. I'm thinking he is still in California and not returning until Thursday. Anyway, so we're talking and I hear a car outside. Well, I looked out the window, but didn't see anything in particular, so I ignored it. Then I heard a knock at the door. I am still on the phone with Kevin, wondering who is knocking on my door at this hour. When I open the door, there is Kevin holding the above roses. I couldn't believe it. He has tried to surprise me in the past and I normally figure it out before he gets home, but this time I was shocked. I gave him a huge hug and of course cried! Jane just said, "Daddy!" And then smiled so big. Thank you, Kevin. I love you so much. Now the baby can come whenever it so chooses, which doesn't look like anytime too soon.

Sunday clothes
She's not a baby anymore! Luckily, we'll have another one soon!
Talking on the phone to daddy. Kevin asked Jane, "Where's Daddy?" Jane pointed at the phone, as if to say, "In the phone, Daddy." Normally she'll say, "At work," which sounds more like "at week." She's grown leaps and bounds in her vocabulary in the last month though. It's crazy.
Caught in the act of showing Daddy how she went swimming. She likes to paddle her arms, then she'll kick her feet, and then she'll blow bubbles. We'll have to get that one on video.
There's the happy and excited face I love! She just loves the mirror!
