The ward campout

Friday afternoon our church ward had a campout. Before the campout we were trying to get Alice to fall asleep in her crib. Jane decided she would help. Kevin heard Alice stop crying and Jane start to cry. He walked in to find Jane unable to get down from the table. I was substitute teaching that morning.

Alice says, "Thanks, Jane!"

We loaded up the car and headed down to Long Point Park. It is just north of Sebastian Inlet. We've camped there before. Jane fell asleep on the way there. Kevin and I set up the tent and I layed out the bedding. Then Alice had a place to play. She loved it.

Alice in the tent. I think we have about outgrown this tent.

We had a blast camping. Here are some of the other kids and families at the campout.

Morgan loved the sand; the beautiful sunset; Allie on the monkey bars

Jane and Sami on the swings; Mattie waiting her turn; The young men beating Kevin at spoons

Alice spent a lot of time in the stroller. The roaring fire at dusk with the playground in the back.

While Kevin was playing cards, the girls and I were kickin' it in the tent. It was such a nice night, nice breeze and so comfy in the tent.

Once the girls finally fell asleep, Kevin and I chatted with our friends, the Stephensons for a few hours around the campfire. This is how we found the girls when we came to bed. Where do we sleep?

Saturday we had a ward breakfast and then it was time to break camp. Alice once again, just chillin' in the stroller enjoying the weather. It rained a little bit, but didn't ruin any of the fun. Good times.

Wow, you guys are troopers. I still can't imagine us camping:) Looks like a fun time though. Good thing Alice doesn't mind her stroller:)

Man, I love camping! I haven't been in years though. I had really hoped to have gone this fall. I think I'll hold off a little now though since I am due in two weeks. Wouldn't want to go into the delivery room smelling like campfire! :) Sounds like you guys had a great time!
